They have played great basketball for the most part of the season, with the Spurs distributing the ball excellently to spread out the production from its players.
On the other hand, the Rockets are trying to get the pieces together as they started very slow but are looking to rebound to get back to the playoff picture.
Unlike the Spurs who have a lot of players who can score at any time, the Rockets are built differently as they are solely focused on Dwight Howard and James Harden on the offensive end, while the other players are given roles to play at a specific time.
While it normally works, this year it has been tougher for the Rockets but it is not too late to bounce back.
In fact, in their first meeting, the Rockets took an 88-84 win when they hosted the Spurs. Harden had 20 points and nine assists to help the Rockets get the win and end the Spurs' seven-game winning streak at that time.
However, in their next meeting, the Spurs adjusted well and got a 121-103 victory with LaMarcus Aldridge taking over with 24 points and nine rebounds for San Antonio.
For the Rockets, Howard had 22 points and 12 rebounds.
