Switzerland are their closest rivals in second place with 12 points, while Slovenia hold the playoff spot with nine points.

All the way to the bottom are San Marino who have only secured one point in their six matches. They lost five and have yet to win in the competition so far.

England have not lost in their last 11 matches across all competitions. They are a strong group on paper and it showed in their recent games.

Their most recent appearance was three months ago against Slovenia in the Euro qualifiers.

The match was exciting as Slovenia played as hosts and scored the first goal of the game.

However, Jack Wilshere stepped up for the Three Lions and scored a brace with goals in the 57th and 73rd minutes of the game.

Slovenia were able to draw level with less than six minutes left in the match, but Wayne Rooney secured the victory with a goal only two minutes later.

Meanwhile, San Marino have failed to score in their last seven matches in all competitions. They lost 6-0 to Slovenia, 1-0 to Liechtenstein in a friendly and 2-0 to Estonia.

Their lone point in the competition came in a 0-0 draw against Estonia when they played as hosts.

Getting any result against England would be historic for them as the minnows have not gotten a result against the European powerhouse in their five meetings in history.
