Scarlett Johansson Shares Possible Reason for Divorce with Ryan Reynolds

It has been five years already since Hollywood stars Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds called quits on their marriage. But just recently, the "Lucy" actress spoke to "Cosmopolitan" magazine wherein she hinted the real reason why she and Reynold's ended their union after three years.

According to a report by News.com.au, Johansson admitted that being in a relationship with a fellow star was a big challenge. Without mentioning the "Deadpool" star by name, she said that her previous relationship had some issues that were difficult to get through. In fact, they were not able to overcome it at all, which led to the downfall of their union.

The issue that she was pertaining to involved career wherein she said, "The logistics of being with another actor are challenging. There has to be a real understanding of how you share your time, especially when two people's careers are going at the same rate."

Mirror UK also noted that Johansson spoke about a competition. "If one person is more successful than the other, that also proves challenging. There may be a competitive thing," the "Captain America: Civil War" actress revealed. Apparently, their work similarities had caused some major strain which Johansson perceived as the reason why they just never worked out.

Reynolds and Johansson got married in 2008 and ended it in 2011. Love did not leave them hanging though as each are married now to someone else. Entertainment Online noted that Johansson is presently married to 34-year old contemporary art dealer, Romain Dauriac. They tied the knot in 2014 and they have one daughter, Rose Dauriac. Johansson shared that though she and her husband can be competitive at times, it's a healthy one that is all in the fun.

Meanwhile, Reynolds married "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively in 2012. The two are parents to one-year old daughter, James.
