SFTS Ecumenical Conference to be held
An ecumenical conference called "Caring for Creation: Joyful Living as God Calls us" will be held in San Francisco Theological Seminary on April 17, 2004.
The conference apprizes the topic of caring for God's creation. "How to Share Creation Care Lessons from Scripture", "How to Conserve Energy in Your Congregation", "Cancer and the Environment", "Cancer and the Environment", and "Food, Faith, and Social Responsibility" are the primary topics to be presented on the daylong conference.
Rev. Dr. Carol Johnston, an ordained Presbyterian minister and assistant professor of Theology and Culture at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, is the plenary speaker to lead the workshops.
Pre-conference is on April 16th, and it includes field trips to Westminster Woods, Gallinas Creek, and "Edible Schoolyard" in Berkeley. According to the members of the SFTS community, the event will be "fun, informative, inspiriting and practical."
