'Sid Meier's Civilization 3: Complete Edition' Is Being Offered for Free Today
For those who are yet to experience the fun and mayhem in the much-loved turn-based strategy video game "Sid Meier's Civilization 3," now would be a good time to pick it up.
The Complete Edition of the beloved title is currently on offer for free at the Humble Store, but gamers would want to be quick because the offer will expire soon.
At the time of writing, users only have a few hours left to pick up "Sid Meier's Civilization 3: Complete Edition" so those who do not want to miss out on the free game should jump in on the promotion before it is gone.
"Sid Meier's Civilization 3" was first released in October 2001. The bundle that is up for grabs for free comes with the downloadable content (DLC) released for the game for the full experience. This includes the Play the World enhanced multiplayer expansion pack as well as the extra scenarios, maps and quests featured in the Conquests expansion.
All in all, it provides games with "more ways to explore, more strategies to employ, more modes of play, and more ways to win, all in one box."
"Sid Meier's Civilization 3" is deemed as one of the most popular and beloved installments of the long-running franchise so the chance to get it for free is quite the big deal despite the game being originally released 16 years ago.
That being said, it is recommended that players take advantage of this promotion while it is still live. It will be a good way to get into the series for newbies to it or to simply relive the experience and the fun it provided those who played it when it first came out.
The latest entry in the video game series is "Civilization 6," which is a big hit critically and commercially. It happens to be the fastest-selling game in the franchise.
