Taylor Swift, Grammy 2012 Red Carpet Appearance and Double Grammy Award

Country star Taylor Swift, a previous Grammy winner who will perform Sunday night, appeared at the Grammy Awards in a golden dress that caught the eye of many. The singer took the stage early on to accept her first Grammy of the night.

In 2010 Chris Brown took Swift off guard at another music award ceremony when he got on stage and said she didn't deserve the award.

While no one jumped on the stage this year to strip her award away, many country fans still appeared doubtful as to whether the singer had rightfully deserved her new awards. Swift won two awards, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance, for her song "Mean."

"This is incredible," Swift commented showing surprise at winning the two awards.

"Wow!" she added.

So far Swift has accumulated a total of six Grammy awards in her career, and stands to win even more before the night is up. Despite her success as a country singer, some users on the Huffington Post blog suggested that Swift was more of a pop singer.

"Seriously, As far as I am concerned she is not even COUNTRY, she is pop," Debra Barnes wrote.

Others added that Swift was taking too much attention away from other country singers. "I like Taylor Swift, she has good songs, but lately is been all about Taylor, is she the only country singer out there?" Barbara Guin asked. "It seems that way. Blake Shelton was down for alittle while, but now he's back and full force, he's been great, doesn't anybody notice him at all?"

"Really come on yes very talented but so many other better songs and artist. Congrats Taylor but others were robbed," Frances E. Hunter Bonville said.

Whether or not she deserved her awards though, many still nodded approval at her attire. The 22-year-old country star appeared in a nude silk mermaid gown by Zuhair Murad, wtih Prada shoes, and jewels by Neil Lane. The gown was accented with gold sequence.
