'Teen Wolf' Season 5 Air Date, Plot News: Cast Member Teases Character's Development, Newcomers, and More
With still a couple months before it returns to the small screen, fans of the hit supernatural teen drama series "Teen Wolf" have been hankering for information on what to expect when the brand new fifth season arrives. Here's what we've heard.
Cast member Shelley Hennig recently sat with Andy Swift of TV Line to dish out some meaty details about the show's upcoming season.
Starting off with the production phase, the actress who played the character Malia Tate said (via TV Line): "We're kind of filming all over, different episodes, but we're definitely in the first quarter."
Hennig went on to say that the premiere will basically pick from where season 4 ended.
"It does feel like we picked up where we left off, but there are a lot of new things to be excited about — and plenty of new things to be afraid of. We also haven't forgotten the past, which is what I love about the show; it's not like everybody suddenly forgets about characters that die," she said.
TV Line went on to probe regarding Malia's relationship with Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) which she said will "never be smooth sailing" come season 5.
"They ended really well in Season 4, but they're going to be seniors this year, and there are a lot of things that happen when you're a senior in high school," she explained. "I'm sure there are going to be some real-life changes and decisions that need to be made in order to move onto the next phase of their lives. I'm looking forward to exploring the reality of these teenagers so people can really relate to them."
"Teen Wolf" Season 5 is slated to return on air this June on MTV.
