'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim' Release Date: Reviewers Praise New Game (VIDEO)

The first batch of reviews for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" are pouring in and they are all positive.

Andrew Reiner from Game Informer spoke about his time with the game: "Skyrim ruled my life for two straight weeks, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes a fixture in my gaming rotation for the remainder of the year. It's one of the biggest, most content rich games I've ever had the pleasure of playing."

Max Parker, the Game Guy for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazzete, spoke on its pros: "A huge, beautifully imagined open world to travel; new experience system doesn’t relegate you to a limited amount of skills; dual casting spells is an excellent battle mechanic; dragons!"

Steve Butts, writer for Escapist Magazine, seemed to love the game as well: "An absolutely first-rate roleplaying game that combines an abundance of content with an abundance of quality."

"The outdated design elements are unfortunate but not so distracting that it ruins the depth of the story, the openness of the setting, or the visceral joys of combat."

Sebastion Haley of Venturebeat.com compared it to other games of its kind: "Other RPGs such as 'Disgaea' and 'Final Fantasy XII' may rival the total hours of gameplay one can derive from Skyrim, but they can only do so through mass quantities of grinding."

"What they can’t rival is Skyrim’s incalculable amount of content and the sheer variety it has to offer, which I’m fairly certain topples even that of several existing MMOs."

Australian Magazine Atomic reviewed and awarded the game with a high score of 95 percent.

Those in the video game industry and gamers alike are all excited about Skyrim's official debut.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" will finally release in stores tomorrow. It will be playable on the PS3, XBox 360 and PC.
