'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 5 Spoilers: Earth 2 Harrison Wells Reveals To STAR Labs The Truth About Zoom

Last week's episode of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series, "The Flash," ended with Barry Allen coming face to face with a different version of Harrison Wells after the latter saved Central City's hero from the clutches of King Shark.

The spoiler reports from International Business Times indicated that the upcoming episode titled "The Darkness and the Light" will find the STAR Labs team meeting the Earth 2 version of Dr. Wells.

Described by earlier casting reports as more of a "douchebag," the new Dr. Wells isn't exactly a villain that Flash and his friends need to worry about. Nonetheless, they must be wary of the scientist's "arrogant" behaviour.

As further divulged by the publication, Wells will orient the Flash team about the nature of Zoom because after all, he was the one who created the evil speedster.

In the recently-released promo trailer for the episode and shared by the media outlet, Barry asked Wells what brought him to this world.

Harrison explains that Zoom has infected his world and now, the villain is now coming to destroy Flash's realm.

Meanwhile, the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic indicates another breach in the time portal. Barry and his team will learn about the breacher called Dr. Light and will immediately set off to capture her. Jay Garrick, however, will tell Flash that the character is not really a threat and that they can try talking to her.

An unexpected turn of event occurs when The Flash is blinded by Dr. Light during an altercation. Flash's opponent also shares some shocking news about Zoom.

Moreover, Barry will finally ask Det. West's partner, Patty Spivot, for a date in this episode. Fans may remember Patty running to rescue The Flash in Episode 4. It will be interesting to see how their meeting, which is now beyond their call of duty, turns out for both of them.

"The Flash" Season 2 airs Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
