These Are the 6 PS Plus Free Games for February 2016

Sony has announced six games it will be offering for free next month to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Previous predictions on possible titles included for the PS Plus February 2016 lineup proved wrong.

Previously, two indie titles, "Crypt of the Necrodancer" and "Not a Hero," were rumored to be free next month. The former has already been confirmed to be a paid title; it won't be coming to the PS Plus February 2016 lineup. Now, the second rumored title has been debunked as well.

On Wednesday, Sony Computer Entertainment America's Andy Lum announced the free games for February. The list doesn't include "Not a Hero." The PS Plus February 2016 free games are "Grid Autosport," "Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back," "Lemmings Touch," "Nom Nom Galaxy," "Nova-111," and "Persona 4 Arena Ultimax."

"Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back" (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

This title from SCEA was released last year and is currently available for $19.99. "Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back" is a shooting game from the creators of "Magicka."

"Nom Nom Galaxy" (PS4)

Double Eleven's title combines tower defense, co-op platforming, sandbox exploration, resource management, and construction into one game. Players need to make different soups to feed aliens and become the "most powerful soup company in the galaxy." The game currently costs $14.99.

"Persona 4 Arena Ultimax" (PS3)

Released in September 2014, this title concludes the events of "Persona 4." Players will see the Midnight Channel broadcast again, as a mysterious red fog causes Persona users to come together once more to "settle accounts" with the culprit. The fighting game includes popular characters from "Persona 3" and "Persona 4" in addition to new skills, systems, modes, and "Shadow" versions of Persona users. The title is currently priced at $39.99

"Grid Autosport" (PS3)

"Grid Autosport" is racing game that features more than 100 routes across 22 locations and racing cars, of course. It was released two years ago and currently costs $29.99.

"Nova-111" (PS Vita)

This sci-fi turn-based adventure game was released last year. In it, players are tasked to explore alien worlds to search for lost scientists and fix space-time. The game features puzzles and "bizarre astrobiological creatures." It is currently available at $14.99.

"Lemmings Touch" (PS Vita)

"Lemmings Touch" is a puzzle game with locations like Ancient Egypt, Space, Hell, Crystal Caverns, and Candy Land. The game released in May 2014 and is currently available for $9.99.

While waiting for these titles, PS Plus members can still avail of this month's free games. These include "Grim Fandango Remastered," "Hardware: Rivals," "Dragon Age: Origins," "Legends of War Patton," "Medal of Honor Warfighter," and "Nihilumbra."
