Video footage shows the demonstrators burning and spitting on American flags. Many of the individuals wore masks and chanted anti-Trump slogans, and several of them also spat on the American flag.
The footage from the weekend also shows several protesters holding up the flags of other countries, such as Mexico, as the American flag burned.
Vice President J.D. Vance commented on the footage in a Saturday X post, citing it as a reason to "pass President Trump's beautiful bill and further secure the border."
"Insurrectionists carrying foreign flags are attacking immigration enforcement officers, while one half of America's political leadership has decided that border enforcement is evil," the vice president stated.
