4. HHS Contraception/Abortion Pill Mandate Lawsuits
In 2012, Obama's Health and Human Services Department released the preliminary rules for a mandate that required businesses and nonprofits to provide coverage for contraceptives and abortion pills.
Since then, the HHS mandate has undergone multiple revisions due to public outcry over religious liberty concerns and various court decisions.
One of the most notable groups suing the administration over the mandate is a group of nuns called the Littler Sisters of the Poor.
In May, the United States Supreme Court agreed to send the Little Sisters' case back to the lower court with the advice to vacate an earlier decision against the nuns.
