President Donald Trump's week featured a series of major developments spanning foreign policy, law enforcement and legal battles tied to his administration and political allies.

The White House touted what it called a "full-scale war on fraud," highlighting criminal prosecutions and enforcement actions for alleged abuses of government programs.

Administration officials also signaled progress toward an agreement with Iran that could extend a fragile ceasefire and restart negotiations over the country's nuclear program.

The U.S. Department of Justice also opened a criminal investigation connected to litigation involving E. Jean Carroll, adding a new chapter to one of Trump's longest-running legal controversies.

Here are four notable Trump-related news items from this week.
