New York appeals court throws out $500M judgment against Trump

A New York appeals court released a decision this week, throwing out a judgment of around $500 million against Trump, centered on allegations that he engaged in financially fraudulent activities.
The Appellate Division, First Department, overturned the large financial judgment against the president, concluding that the substantial sum of money was too excessive.
However, the court upheld the ruling that Trump engaged in fraud by exaggerating his net worth over the period of a few decades, reported The New York Post.
The case, which was brought by the office of New York Attorney General Leticia James, will next go to the state's highest court.
