Trump's week in review: HHS halts funds for child sex changes; American released from Russia

For one American family, a long-awaited homecoming was one of several stories that captured the nation's attention this week.

Former U.S. Marine Robert Gilman landed back on U.S. soil after being imprisoned in Russia since 2022, reuniting with his mother before he'd even stepped off the plane.

The past week also saw the Trump administration taking steps to ensure that taxpayer-funded healthcare programs do not fund so-called gender transition surgeries and cross-sex hormones for minors. Meanwhile, federal prosecutors charged nearly a dozen people in a marriage faud scheme. 

Here are five highlights from the past week.
