Trump’s week in review: House limits Iran war powers; Kennedy Center name removal memo

5. House votes to limit Trump's Iran war powers

The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives voted to approve a resolution directing Trump to remove troops from Iran unless Congress formally declares war.

The measure passed 215-208, with four Republicans joining Democrats to provide the necessary majority. The resolution must still pass the GOP-controlled Senate.

Trump denounced the measure as unpatriotic, saying it came "right in the middle of my final negotiations to end the War with the Islamic Republic of Iran."
