Trump's week in review: Tulsi Gabbard resigns; Rededicate 250; another batch of UFO files released

5. Another batch of UFO files released
In a Friday statement, the U.S. Department of War announced the publication of the second batch of the UFO files about encounters with unidentified flying objects.
The Pentagon’s release comes two weeks after publication of the first collection of the UFO files, which has received more than 1 billion views.
The Department of War said a third batch of UFO files will be released in the near future.
The latest documents, available at WAR.gov/UFO, contain 64 files documenting potential UFOs and unidentified anomalous phenomena.
The documents date back to the late 1940s and early 1950s and include possible sightings at multiple locations in the U.S. and overseas, including the former USSR, the Gulf of Arabia, the Persian Gulf, the East China Sea, Kazakhstan and the Yellow Sea.
Friday’s release brings the total number of published documents to 222.
The release is part of an effort undertaken by the Trump administration titled the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE).
“These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves,” Hegseth said following the release of the first batch of UFO files. “The release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump administration’s earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency.”
According to WAR.gov/UFO, “The materials archived here are unresolved cases, meaning the government is unable to make a definitive determination on the nature of the observed phenomena.”
Additional releases are expected every few weeks.
