Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing in Charlie Kirk murder trial: 5 key takeaways from day 4

4. Tyler Robinson allegedly told his roommate he had a ‘long drive to work’

According to the video of Lance Twiggs’ interview shown in court, Robinson told his roommate that he had a "long drive to work" on the morning of the shooting.

"I don't know an exact time. I just know he left early. I heard him leaving, and he just said he had, like, [a] long drive to work that day. So he was leaving early," Twiggs said.

The roommate and romantic partner of Kirk’s alleged killer also said at one point in the interview that Robinson usually talked about President Donald Trump when he discussed politics with Twiggs.

"Usually, if he did talk about politics stuff, it was relating to Trump or current like, policies, being like issued or voted on, I think," Twiggs said.
