Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing in Charlie Kirk murder trial: 5 key takeaways from day 4

5. Ammunition in Tyler Robinson’s home matched recovered rifle

Utah Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jennifer Faumuina testified on Thursday that authorities recovered a firearm in the woods wrapped in a towel following the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk. Faumuina said during her testimony that Kirk was killed with a bolt-action rifle fired by a gunman perched on a rooftop roughly 415 feet away.

In addition to the firearm, authorities recovered a shell casing and several unfired bullets that had been engraved. One of the unfired bullets reportedly contained a message that read, “Hey Fascist! Catch!”

Faumuina testified that authorities seized an engraving tool and ammunition that matched the rifle recovered in the woods.
