'Welcome to the Ballroom' Anime Spoilers: Tatara, Chinatsu to Compete for the First Time in Next Episode?

The second cour has begun for the Japanese anime series "Welcome to the Ballroom," and yet, Tatara's dance struggles continue as he tries to understand his new potential partner. Will they be able to rise above their differences and compete as a dance couple?

Following the end of the first cour, Majo has partnered up once again with her brother, Gaju, while the popular couple Shizuku and Hyodo seems to have reunited as well. While these developments are all well and good, they have also left Tatara all on his own, which is too bad since there is nothing Tatara wants more than to compete on the dance floor again.

His classmate, Chinatsu, seems to be the only potential partner within a one-mile radius. Unfortunately, one mile seems to also be the distance that Chinatsu wants to keep between herself and the dance floor. Although she is interested enough in ballroom dancing to have bouts of fangirling moments whenever she sees her idol, Hongo, she also seems to despise the very idea of it enough to turn abrasive whenever Tatara tries to talk to her about it.

There is also a problem with who takes the lead, especially since Chinatsu has a very strong personality that more often than not feels overwhelming for Tatara. Will they be able to find the perfect balance between their roles on the dance floor before the next competition opportunity arrives?

The preview for the next episode implies that a competition is about to begin sooner than expected, and Tatara and Chinatsu may well be on their way to dancing together for the first time on the competitive dance floor.

What new realizations will they both discover about themselves, each other, and the very idea of partnering up for competitive ballroom? Will Tatara eventually find his perfect partner in Chinatsu?

"Welcome to the Ballroom" airs on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available for regions outside Japan via Amazon Prime's Anime Strike service.
