Adele's New Album '25' Will Have its Highly Anticipated Release on Nov. 20
Fans of Adele will finally be able to get their hands on her long-awaited third album as the artist herself announced that it will be released a few days from now. According to Time, the "Someone Like You" singer's new album is set to be released on Friday, Nov.20. She announced the date via her Instagram account along with a black-and-white selfie photo.
The details of the coming of her new album were slowly divulged. Fans were first treated with her latest hit single "Hello" which has already received platinum sales three weeks after it was released. Later on, she confirmed that her upcoming record will be titled "25," named after the age she wrote it.
The 27-year old singer was on a hiatus for four years, basking in family life after settling down with her partner Simon Konecki and giving birth to their son, Angelo. Now she has returned to the spotlight and it's not just any comeback—it's a big one with her "25" album expected to sell 1 million copies.
Music Times reported that it could even possibly easily exceed 2 million copies sold. Updates coming from Twitter account @ChartNews revealed that Adele's comeback album has already reached a pre-order count of 500,000 copies. It's not far from reality that Adele could exceed 2 million copies during her first on-sale week. Her lead "25" single "Hello" has even already sold 1.1 million copies in the United States.
The music video of the song is also breaking records as reports say that it has already surpassed the likes of both Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. In a report by The Archway, the music video took the title from Swift's "Bad Blood" music video as the most viewed video in 24 hours. It also beat Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" music video for reaching 100 million views in just five days. Currently, "Hello" has reached 300 million views in YouTube since its release in Oct. 22.
