Apple's iPhone 5se May Be Powered by A9/M9 Chips
Apple's upcoming iPhone 5se may be powered by the company's own A9 processor and M9 processor, based on the latest rumors.
The iPhone 5se, which is touted to be Apple's 4-inch smartphone, is rumored to be powered by the same processor found in the latest flagship iPhone 6s. The latest rumors also claim that the upcoming smaller smartphone will have 16 GB and 64 GB internal memory options, according to Mashable.
Some Apple employees say the last two letters in the name of the 4-inch iPhone stand for "special edition." This signifies that the iPhone 5se will be an "enhanced" version of the iPhone 5s, N4BB reports.

Earlier rumors hinted that the iPhone 5se will be powered by the A8/M8 chips found in the Phone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. In addition, the smaller iPhone is also expected to sport a similar metal design and an 8-megapixel rear shooter. However, it will not have the 3D Touch feature, the report details.
A photo recently leaked on the OneMoreThing forums shows the alleged iPhone 5se beside an iPhone 5. The phone's volume, power buttons, and FaceTime camera placements are also clearly visible in the said photo. The power button has been moved from the top to the right side of the model, the report relays.
Other rumors say the upcoming small iPhone is code-named "N69." The said device will reportedly be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Silver, and Space Gray color options.
The people who leaked the image are the same ones who leaked the iPad Air 2, the report notes.
Should the latest rumors prove to be true, Apple will unveil the iPhone 5se by mid-March. The firm, however, has not yet confirmed the speculations on the smartphone's release date and features.
More information on the iPhone 5se is expected to surface in the next few weeks and as its reported release date nears.
