'Criminal Minds' Season 9 Premiere: Camryn Manheim to Guest Star

Season drama actress Camryn Manheim will be guest starring on the September 25 season nine premiere of CBS' hit drama "Criminal Minds."

Manheim will be playing the role of UnSub's protective and doting mother, TVLine.com reports. And there is speculation that Manheim will not just serve as UnSub's protector, but also has some issues and plot lines of her own.

Manheim is no stranger to television acting. She is perhaps most known for her role on the show "Ghost Whisperer," where she played Delia Banks for four seasons, according to IMDB.com. But she has acted in many other television dramas. From 1997-2004 she acted in the popular show "The Practice," playing the role of Ellenor Frutt. In 2005 she had a recurring role on "The L Word" as Veronica Bloom. She also had a recurring role on the show "Harry's Law," where she played Kim Mendelsohn from 2011-2012.

Camryn Manheim's "Criminal Minds" debut will be directed by Joe Montengna, who plays David Rossi on the hit drama, according to E! News. It will be his first time serving as director for the show.

Joe Montegna offered some spoilers about his character David Rossi as well.

"We've already learned [Rossi's] had three former wives and that he lost one of them. We know about his military background. Beyond that, we'll see. There may some more other secrets that are unveiled, as well as things about all the other characters," he explained.

It appears that CBS has big plans for the hit drama's return for it's 9th season. "Criminals Minds" premieres on Sept 25.
