'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 News: Will the Killer of Wes' Mother be Unmasked?
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2's next episode will be an exciting guessing game for Wes and Laurel as they strive to figure out what how his mother died.
In the previous episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2, it was revealed that Sam Keating (Tom Verica) got his wife Annalise (Viola Davis) 10 years ago, and Wes (Alfred Enoch) was locked up accidentally into the psych ward. Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) also confessed to Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza) that he was the one who killed Lila Stangad (Megan West), iDigital Times recalls.
Based on the official synopsis for the upcoming episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2, Annalise and her team will panic with the thought that Philip (Jefferson White) is back. Annalise will try to calm down her team and gain some advantage over Philip. She will promise to take care of her students in light of the situation, Christian Today reports.

The trailer for the episode titled "It's a Trap" reveals that Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee), Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry), and Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi) are worried about Philip's return. The group thinks he is the one blackmailing them using a video taken during Annalise's shooting. The blackmailer is asking for $1 million within 36 hours and is threatening to send the video to the authorities if they fail to do so.
Meanwhile, Wes and Laurel will start to investigate his mother's death. However, there will be a few odd things about the case. Based on the teaser for the episode, Laurel will catch Wes going through Annalise's stuff. He will then tell her that Annalise knew his mother back then, the report relays.
There are speculations that Annalise was the one who killed Wes' mother, but viewers have yet to find out about that. Executive producer Peter Nowalk spoke to Entertainment Weekly (EW) and teased something about the episode.
"The only response I'm going to give here is to refer back to the last scene of our midseason finale," Nowalk told EW. "Eve [Famke Janssen] and Annalise. Watching Christophe be interrogated about Rose's death. What did they do?"
In addition, Laurel will be in a tight situation after what she learned from Frank. The next episode will reveal if she will tell someone about the information and what will happen if she does.
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode 12 titled "It's a Trap" airs on Thursday, Feb. 25 on ABC.
