However according to Puccio, Sacco had requested her own death. Puccio reported he had discovered a text in which his girlfriend had attempted to hire a hitman to kill him, according to Inquisitr. When the text was discovered, Puccio claimed that the young girl asked for death as penance for her actions.

"She started crying and told me, 'I wish I didn't have to die, but I understand what I did.' She was pleading with me to slash her throat and slash her wrist, do something. And I told her, 'No, I can't do that to you,' and she told me to stab her then. So, I just held my hand above her stomach. She grabbed my wrist and pulled it into her stomach," said Puccio.

Details about the number of stab wounds that Sacco suffered have not been revealed.

"I still love you, and I forgive you," were Sacco's last word according to Puccio.

Puccio, who suffered no injuries, claimed that Sacco failed to fight back.

"The average person would have fought back, or at least dialed 911. She never did," he stated.

Sacco also reported that he acted alone in committing the murder, and was later surprised by his friends' help. The others who will be tried include four men and one woman.

"It shocked the [heck] out of me. I figured they'd be the first to call the cops on me," Puccio said.
