Joey Feek Cancer News: Rory Reflects on Good Times as Joey's Condition Gets Worse

Joey Feek may be losing her battle to cancer, but her husband Rory is choosing to focus on the good times amid the situation.

Rory Feek recalled his trip to Hawaii in February last year with his wife Joey Feek and their children. He posted a video from the family vacation on Facebook and shared how things have changed since then, the International Business Times reports.

In his Facebook post, Rory called the trip their "favorite vacation" because it was a time when they just spent time together instead of scurrying around the place like tourists.

"Most of the trips that we call family vacations, are actually places where we're playing a show and try to fit in a few days of being tourists around it," said Joey Feek's husband. "This one was different. There was no music, no plan, no rush...just us all being together as a family. I loved it."

On Monday, Rory shared a photo on Instagram showing Joey preparing food for the family even on her hospice bed. Her husband managed to "bring the kitchen" to her to allow her to do all the coking chores from her bed.

In addition, Joey Feek has been looking forward to spring, although she may not live long enough to see it. She has planted seedlings, hoping that the plants will bloom after winter. For Rory, this is his wife's way of "putting down roots."

Meanwhile, Joey+Rory's latest album titled "Hymns That Are Important to Us" launched at the top spot on the country and contemporary Christian charts of Billboard. It also snagged the fourth spot on the top 200 chart, Christian Today relays.

In an interview with People, Rory shared that the album belonged to Joey right from the start because she has always wanted to create it. He also said she strived hard to finish the album, despite her terminal cancer.

When Rory congratulated his wife over the successful debut of "Hymns That Are Important to Us," Joey Feek only said the album is "God's record." The album will be the last album for the singing duo Joey+Rory because Rory does not want to release any more new music or perform without his wife.
