Lindsay Lohan Released From Jail Just Hours After Arriving

Lindsay Lohan, set to serve a 30-day sentence, has been released from jail less than five hours after being booked into the Century Regional Detention facility.

Checking-in at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Lohan - spotted by cameras - was witnessed exiting the facility by 1:30 a.m. early Monday, in a black Cadillac Escalade. Although Deputy Tom Moore did not give the exact time of her release, it was reported that she arrived at her home in Venice by 2 a.m.

The reason for Lohan’s early release was jail overcrowding, which has led to significantly shortened jail terms.

On Wednesday, a judge ordered jail time for Lohan because she had recently violated court orders by getting booted from a community service assignment at a women's shelter.

It's Lohan's fifth jail sentence since being arrested twice for drunken driving in 2007.

The judge imposed a complicated sentence, telling Lohan that she will now have to perform all of her community service at the county morgue or risk serving an additional 270 days in jail. In addition, she will have to have psychotherapy sessions and appear monthly at court hearings between December and March. She can also not leave the country unless she asks her probation officer.

Lohan will have to serve 423 hours at the county morgue, where for nearly two weeks she has been mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and washing dirty sheets.

Lindsay is no stranger to being released earlier than expected. In 2007, she spent 84 minutes in jail before being released.

Lohan had until Nov. 9 to turn herself in. The 25-year-old actress was given an extra week to turn herself in to authorities, because of a photo shoot obligation she had to keep with Playboy Magazine, which reportedly paid her almost a million dollars. If she had not completed the shoot, she could have been held in breach of contract.
