Microsoft Announces Two New Xbox One Bundles for the New Year

Microsoft is extending the holiday cheer through the New Year with its recently announced Xbox One bundles.

On Tuesday, Jan. 5, Microsoft's Lawrence Hryb, also known as Major Nelson, posted the announcement on his blog.

"During the holidays, we announced more bundles than we ever have before, delivering an unprecedented number of choices for every gamer," he said. "While the holidays are now behind us, we're excited to ring in the New Year with even more value and choice for our fans to experience the greatest games lineup in Xbox history well into 2016."

The two new Xbox One bundles are the Xbox One "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" Bundle and the Xbox One 500 GB Name Your Game Bundle.

Xbox One "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" Bundle

The "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" bundle is offered in partnership with developer Ubisoft. The bundle includes a 1 TB console, a copy of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege," and full-game downloads of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2."

The bundle is now available for $399 at Microsoft stores, Amazon, and other participating retailers. It will start shipping on Jan. 12 to all regions where the device is available, except China, Japan, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Xbox One 500 GB Name Your Game Bundle

The second bundle, Xbox One 500 GB Name Your Game Bundle, was well-received among the blog's followers. The bundle includes a 500 GB console and provides gamers with a choice among four blockbuster titles. These are "Rare Replay," "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," "Rise of the Tomb Raider," and "Forza Motorsport 6."

The bundle is available for pre-order in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Ireland, and Mexico for $349 and will start shipping on Jan. 12. The bundle will also be available in the United States, Canada, and Brazil in Microsoft stores and other participating retailers in late January.
