    The United Nations has voted overwhelmingly to recognize a Palestinian state. The resolution has upgraded the Palestinians' status to a non-member observer state at the United Nations . A Palestinian flag was immediately raised at the UN. In the West Bank city of Ramallah, hundreds crowded into the main square waved Palestinian flags and chanted "God is great."

He also warned that thousands of rockets would rain down on Tel Aviv and cities across Israel if it attacked Lebanon. He also reiterated support for Iran.

    An Arab-Israeli has been arrested in connection with Wednesday's bombing of a bus in Tel Aviv, in which 24 people were wounded. Police report the attacker was carrying out orders from Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of creating the circumstances that caused the bombing.
