6. Low Number of Middle East Christians Getting Asylum

Due to the Syrian Civil War and the rise of the Islamic State, many people from the Middle East fled to the United States of America during Obama's time in office.

However, the number of Christians fleeing persecution in Iraq and Syria who were granted asylum by the Obama administration was very small, despite large numbers of them fleeing religious intolerance.

CNS News and the American Center for Law and Justice both spoke out against the very tiny number of Syrian Christians in particular who were granted asylum, demanding accountability from the administration.

The United Kingdom publication the Daily Mirror reported last September that many Iraqi Christians were being turned away from the United States, even as thousands of their Muslim countrymen were allowed in.
