Tucker Carlson's exit from Fox News draws diverse reactions: 'Free & uncensored' to 'it's about time'

Former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., a longtime moderate Republican critic of Carlson's, tweeted, "It's about time" in response to his departure from Fox News.

"After all Tucker's lies and defamation, it's about time," She wrote.

Cheney — who Carlson once called "delusional" for her political aspirations beyond the House — called out News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch and Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott for giving Carlson's 2021 documentary "a platform to spread the same type of lies that provoked violence on January 6."
