Jolie Kids and Crickets: They're 'Like Doritos' for Angelina's Children

Angelina Jolie divulged an interesting detail about her family life in an interview this week.

The Academy Award-winning actress and internationally known superstar shares six children with fiancé Brad Pitt, and the family is often spotted abroad.

During a video interview for Louis Vuitton, Jolie recounted a recent trip to Cambodia with her children where her sons acquired a taste for an unusual treat.

"My boys love to eat crickets," the 37-year-old actress told E! News. "It's their favorite thing. They ate them like Doritos."

Moreover, Jolie noted that her children liked the treat so much she had to curb their cravings.

"I had to actually ban the cricket eating at some point, because I was afraid they were gonna get sick from too many," Jolie added. "But they're good, they are like a potato chip."

The Jolie-Pitt family includes Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Meanwhile, when it comes to insects, Jolie has recently received an honor. Jason Bond of Alabama's Auburn University reportedly named a newly discovered species of spider Aptostichus angelinajoliea after the actress, according to The Riverside Press-Enterprise.

When is comes to her widespread fame, Jolie has revealed that her life is very ordinary. Despite their boundless celebrity, the actress said that she and Pitt "have a very normal, very grounded home."

Furthermore, the "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" star explained that having children keeps things in perspective while speaking to Total Film magazine.

"The great thing about having a bunch of kids is they just remind you that you're the person who takes them to go poop," the actress candidly explained.

Although her brood may be "normal," Jolie still has to explain why paparazzi follow her family's every move.

"We just have to explain to our kids that people like to take pictures of people who make movies," said the actress and director. "And that's all it is. It's not anything special about mommy and daddy- we just happen to make movies."
