'Bones' Season 11 spoiler update: Family gets bigger, Booth goes missing

Before the wrap up of "Bones" season 10, the main characters Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) quit their jobs as forensic anthropologist and FBI agent respectively. And with a baby on the way, they aim to live a happy and safe life together as a family—one that is far away from murders and crimes. But will Season 11 bring them that dream life?

When the crime-solving comedy-drama returns to the TV next month, it will pick up six months after the events of Season 10. The couple is going to enjoy the life they have chosen and prepare for the coming of their baby boy. According to an interview of TVLine with executive producer Michael Peterson, the arrival of the baby will not make it into a baby show though. They will let the viewers see how Booth and Brennan will be as parents but will still stick to the theme of the show.

"We're trying to find the perfect balance, where we show the kids and [establish that] Booth and Brennan are great parents [without] making it solely about the children," said Peterson.

According to International Business Times, fans are also given a hint of the baby's name which will have a significant meaning for fans of the series. And it has something to do with Lance Sweets' (John Francis Daley) death that really affected Booth. Because of their closeness, it may be just apt that he honors his murdered friend by naming his first son after him.

But Season 11 is not all smiles as it will start off with Booth mysteriously missing. This will prompt Brennan to go back to dealing with cases especially the one that involves her husband. Agent Grace Miller (Kim Raver) will be leading the investigation along with FBI Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd). But tension will rise when Miller tries to investigate one of the team's own as the primary suspect. Brennan will also be connected to a member of Booth's family (Dilshad Vadsaria) and "squintern" Arastoo Vaziri (Pej Vahdat) who has replaced the position of Brennan as forensic anthropologist.

Fans can catch more of "Bones" on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on Fox.
