5. Calif. Megachurch Pastor Fred Price Jr. Steps Down Over 'Personal Misjudgments' 

Fred K. Price Jr. shocked his congregation in June when he announced that he would be stepping down as pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center due to "personal misjudgments." 

His announcement came just a month after Price took a sabbatical from ministry.

"I have struggled with and am correcting and making amends for serious personal misjudgments which have affected my life and my family and which I deeply regret," he told his Los Angeles congregation. "I have betrayed the trust of God, my family and you my church and for that I am so sorry. Therefore, I'm gonna step down as pastor at this time."

He said he would be going through a period of restoration.

The reins of the church had been passed down from his father, Frederick K. C. Price, in 2009.

The elder Price is currently back at the pulpit, leading the Los Angeles Church with his wife, Betty Price.
