Does the Bible Have Secret Codes?

A conspiracy theorist is claiming that there are "hidden" codes in the Bible that foretell End-Time events and disasters.

The so-called "psychic" who calls himself T. Chase says one of the secret codes reveals that a volcano will crash into the sea and send giant 300-foot waves crashing onto the shores of Spain in a monster tsunami that will kill millions, the Daily Star reported. The tsunami will then supposedly head across the Atlantic and engulf the Caribbean and U.S. east coast, T. Chase claims.

T. Chase, who runs the website revelation13net, says he was able to come up with these predictions after putting together the Bible's original Hebrew texts using a software program that removes the spaces in between words, leaving behind continuous texts.

The program then looks for words. In his tsunami prediction, T. Chase found the words "Canary," "the high mountain," "tidal," "wave," "terrible," "death" and "Miami" among others.

T. Chase is not the first to claim hidden messages in the Bible.

In 1997, Michael Drosnin published a book called "The Bible Code," which detailed a code broken by an Israeli mathematician. When applied to the Bible, it allegedly revealed many major world events such as the assassinations of the Kennedy presidents, World War II, the Moon landing, and even the alleged appearance of alien beings in Roswell, New Mexico.

Other so-called "seers" use a system called Theomatics, which is based on the belief that numbers have a divine relationship with events.

Those who use this system say there are number codes in the Bible—which they believe were placed there by God—that reveal a blueprint of what will happen to our world.

Using similar codes allegedly found in the Bible, some people believe that the world will end when a giant asteroid strikes Earth. They claim that the "great mountain burning with fire" mentioned in the book of Revelations could be the mythical Planet Nibiru.

The website Signs of End Times even warned that the world will likely end this year, citing verses from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke in the New Testament as their alleged bases.

Even more audaciously, one group of theorists offered a precise date when the world will end: August 21, 2017. They posted this date on the website Unsealed, claiming they used passages from The Book of Revelations to back up their allegations.
