Edward Norton's Baby Boy Arrives
Edward Norton has reportedly become a first-time father with the arrival of a baby boy.
The "Keeping the Faith" star and his fiancé Shauna Robertson, a film producer, welcomed their first child last month, according to multiple sources.
Norton and Robertson, who got engaged in 2011 after a 6-year relationship, are "thrilled and excited for parenthood," according to Us Weekly.
Furthermore, the 43-year-old actor has been very involved with preparing for the baby's arrival.
"Ed is really excited for fatherhood," the insider at Us Weekly added. "He helped pick out a stroller for the baby!"
Best known for his roles in films such as "Fight Club" and "The Bourne Legacy," Norton is a 2-time Academy Award nominee.
Notoriously private, Norton has never publicly addressed his engagement or Robertson's pregnancy. In fact, the actor once said that he does not allow celebrity to affect his life.
"If I ever have to stop taking the subway, I'll have a heart attack," Norton told Vogue magazine in 2008.
Before meeting Robertson, Norton had been romantically linked to Courtney Love and Salma Hayek.
Looking ahead, Norton will appear in films "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and "Birdman," both expected for release in 2014.
"Birdman" also sees stars Emma Stone, Zach Galifianakis, and Naomi Watts.
Although he infrequently uses Twitter, Norton took the opportunity to reach out following the tragic bombings during the Boston Marathon this week.
"Crushed about Boston," wrote the actor, adding a link to a blood drive. "So senseless. Lots of the runners were running for charity. A nice way to support them now."
Norton, who ran in 2009's New York City Marathon for charity, is an environmental and social activist.
In 2010, the actor joined forces with fellow A-lister Leonardo DiCaprio on a trip to meet Ecuador's Vice President Lenin Moreno in order to support the protection of the Ecuadorian Amazon from oil extraction.
