Farrah Abraham's New Year's Resolution: 'Focus More on Mind, Not Body'

"Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham has a new mindset for the new year, one that is leaving fans and followers just a bit skeptical, given her past. The reality star stated her new goals in a video message to her fans.

"Woohooo, 2014 is coming up and I have a lot of new New Year's resolutions," Abraham said in the video. "I think it's more about my mind and soul than my body, so I'm more excited for 2014 for those reasons. Strive for the things that you're scared to try."

Abraham made 2013 the year of headlines and self-improvement, though in a very different way. She released an intimate video, which brought her a newfound type of fame and followers. Abraham, after having several plastic surgeries, had one more to remove a chin implant. She also signed on to appear as a spokeswoman for a fat-burner and limousine company, along with making appearances at gentlemen's clubs.

In 2014, she will appear on VH1's "Couples Therapy," which shows her working with a therapist to overcome incidents in her past as well as engaging in fights with houseguests. Abraham has been trying to appear on the show for at least two years and finally succeeded, even though she is appearing by herself.

The show could be at least one way Abraham is looking inward, not outward, and working to improve her life and that of her daughter, Sophia. Many have chided Abraham for making so many appearances and leaving her daughter at home or with her parents. The young mother is a single mother; Sophia's father was killed in a car accident before she was born, and Abraham has struggled to accept his death ever since.

Of course, Abraham is not without controversy, having appeared in an adult video and making the appearances at gentlemen's clubs. The former "Teen Mom" star also posted a photo of herself kissing "her freedom," in the form a shot, on Twitter. It remains to be seen how long her New Year's resolution will last.
