The Rev. Franklin Graham took a moment this week to give Christians an update on the health of his beloved father, evangelist Billy Graham.

In a letter shared on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association website, Franklin Graham told friends and supporters that his father is still living in his Montreat, North Carolina, home with the help of a caregiver "at all times."

The Samaritan's Purse CEO said the elder Graham usually eats meals at the kitchen table, and "on days when the weather is good and he feels up to it" he enjoys gazing out at the mountains from his front porch.

Although the junior Graham said his father's eyesight and hearing are poor, he watches the news with the help of a big screen TV and uses a wheelchair to get around.

"His ministry now is praying," Franklin Graham wrote, "and he looks forward to reports of what God is doing around the world. He always responds by saying 'Praise the Lord,' as he points upward."

Franklin Graham has been busy criss-crossing the nation as part of his "Decision America" prayer rally tour, which he says has so far reached more than 150,000 people in over 30 states. During Graham's July 1 stop in Jeanau, Alaska, he told crowds that his father thinks many folks may have forgotten about him.

"He doesn't think anybody remembers who he is," Franklin said. "So he'll say, 'If you meet anybody who remembers me, tell 'em hello.'"

On his "Decision America" tour stop in Olympia, Washington, last month, Graham said of this father, "He's 97 years old. When he was 90, he told all of us he was gonna live to 95," he said. "When he approached 95, he moved the goalpost. He said, 'I'm now gonna live to be 100' … I hope he does."

The Rev. Billy Graham has spent more than 60 years evangelizing the world. He turns 98 in November.
