Goat Eating Dinner YouTube Video Goes Viral (VIDEO)
A video featuring "Jemima," a goat that appears to be dining on apples and wine while reading a newspaper with human arms and hands, has gone viral on the internet.
The video shows a medium-size white goat appearing to sit at a dining room table, while a human, not visible to the viewer, crouches behind the goat and pretends to give the animal human arms and hands.
While Beethoven's 5th Symphony plays in the background, the human hands attempt to read the newspaper, feed the goat apples, and even pour the goat a glass of Merlot wine.
The goat, who appears to be wearing a long-sleeved dress shirt with a sweater tied around his shoulders, behaves most of the time, but grows unruly during some points, occasionally taking a bite out of the newspaper he is supposed to be reading or burying his face into the plate of apples instead of eating it from the human's hands, which are holding a knife and fork.
The videographers in the video can't keep from taking part in this humorous display of fine dining, and at one point during the YouTube video they can be heard laughing from behind the camera.
The star of the video, "Jemima the Goat," has her own YouTube channel, and her recent video, which was published on July 10, has gained over 80,000 views.
The description for the video reads: "Jemima catches up on the latest motoring news before enjoying a sophisticated meal of Apples and Red Wine."
"Jemima has been Mike and Andrew's pet goat for several years. Until recently she had a partner Gerald who sadly passed away not too long ago," the description continues.
"Now we have to decide whether to re-home Jemima [Goats can't live by themselves as the get lonely and depressed] or alternatively if the video is successful to raise some money to buy her another bearded companion. Until we decide she spends a lot of her time indoors with us and one thing lead to another," the video's description adds.
While this is the only video posted on the YouTube "Jemima the Goat" channel, the users behind the name also spend their time commenting on other animal videos, including one featuring a golden retriever appearing to eat dinner with human hands and arms and entitled "funny human dog."
