The coveted star will be awarded to Downey for her work in television, where she is best known for her role on the hit CBS television series "Touched by an Angel" for which she earned multiple Emmy and Golden Globe best actress nominations.

Her star will be dedicated at 6664 Hollywood Blvd. in front of Sergeants Supply. Helping to unveil and emcee the illustrious event alongside Gubler will be actress Della Reese, Pastor Rick Warren and Downey's husband.

Downey is also president of LightWorkers Media, a faith and family division of MGM and serves as the chief content officer for MGM's planned OTT initiative. Together with Burnett, the two have gone on to achieve great success in the mainstream world with faith-based movies and television programming.

The couple also produced the Emmy nominated miniseries "The Bible" for the History channel, which was watched by more than 100 million people in the U.S. alone, followed by the feature film "Son of God," which also stunned the box office as the second-highest grossing faith-based movie opening of all time.

Downey and Burnett are currently producing a new series for NASCAR and awaiting the Aug. 19 release of the epic feature film "Ben-Hur."
