Weeks after the Abbott controversy, Crockett made headlines last May when photos surfaced that appeared to show her using a taxpayer-funded police escort to bypass a security line, cutting in front of two disabled passengers at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia.

Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Mich., posted the images on X and blasted Crockett at the time for "abusing her power."

"SPOTTED: Jasmine Crockett with a taxpayer-funded police escort, cutting everyone in line — even making DISABLED people wait," McClain scolded Crockett.

No formal charges ensued over the incident, though it damaged Crockett's image as a champion for marginalized groups.
