Crockett dismissed allegations of creating a toxic work environment for her congressional staff earlier this year, according to an August story from the New York Post.
Multiple former aides who spoke to the outlet described Crockett as a demanding "no-show boss" who rarely visited her district office in Dallas, but instead prioritized social media influencing and personal activities.
Staffers alleged she routinely berated employees, screamed profanities at them and fired at least one young black female aide without explanation, leading to a high turnover rate with several chiefs of staff during her short two-year congressional term.
One ex-aide claimed Crockett drove a legislative assistant to tears by yelling, "Do you really want to be here? And if not, you can leave!" Another source called her leadership style "all diva, no wow," claiming she dismissed concerns about her use of potentially offensive language.
Crockett invoked pop star Beyoncé to push back against such allegations, according to the Post.
"Because as Beyoncé says, if they’re not talking about you, then obviously you must not be doing anything," she said.
