Justin Bieber Breaks Charity Record, Grants 200th 'Wish' for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Justin Bieber may have faced scrutiny in the media as of late, but the 19-year-old Canadian crooner recently broke the Make-A-Wish Foundation's record by granting the charity's 200th wish.

Annalysha Brown-Rafanan, an 8-year-old girl suffering from a life-threatening liver condition, had her wish granted when she not only met Bieber, but proposed to him with a ring pop.

"I'm supposed to ask you," Bieber told his sick fan, while dropping to one knee.

The singer took to Twitter to speak about his experience.

"This is what it is about. Thanks," Bieber tweeted after breaking the foundation's record Saturday. "Honored yesterday. one of the best moments ive ever had. thank u. looking forward to doing more together. thanks. (SIC)"

Pattie Mallette, Bieber's mother, recently stood up for her son amid media scrutiny, saying that many are overlooking how many good things he does. However, Mallette recently appeared on Bravo TV's "Watch What Happens Live" where she also admitted that she knew her son was not always on his best behavior.

"(I'm) not naïve to think that my child is perfect and making all the best decisions of his life," Mallette recently told Bravo host Andy Cohen.

Bieber has also been making headlines for his alleged reckless driving habits, aggressive behavior and alleged marijuana use for months. Still Mallette stood up for her son amid recent media scrutiny.

"I definitely think he's getting a bad rap ... He knows what I disagree with, and he knows all the things that I'm really proud of him for, too," Mallette told Cohen. "I mean, people don't talk about all the great things he does every day."

Mallette pointed out that her son meets with children from the Make-A-Wish charity foundation before each of his shows.
