'Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World – The Animated Series' Episode 3 Spoilers: Kino and Hermes to Visit a 'Bothersome Country'

Kino and Hermes have just survived the Coliseum and its cruel, tyrannical King, but what new dangers await them as they continue their travels on the Japanese action-adventure anime series, "Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World – The Animated Series"?

The previous episode brought the traveling adventurer, Kino, and her talking motorcycle, Hermes, to a country that the former has been planning on visiting for a long time: the Coliseum. However, their arrival coincided with the beginning of a deadly tournament that was being held there every three months, wherein contestants were pitted against each other until either the death or surrender of one participant puts an end to the fight.

Kino managed to win her match until she reached the final round, during which she pretended to shoot her opponent, Shizu, but was actually aiming for the traitorous King instead. Having won the tournament, Kino subsequently ordered everyone in the Coliseum to fight it out until only one remained standing and could thus be crowned the new King.

And now, she and Hermes are off to a brand new country with its own brand of challenges waiting for them.

On the other hand, Kino's opponent in the final round, Shizu, turned out to be the King's son who has previously run away but has now returned to end his cruel father's life. The final scene showed him and his talking dog, Riku, wondering what they should do next after Shizu tried on the King's crown.

Could the two of them be going on the same adventurous journeys as Kino? And if so, will their paths be crossing again in the long run? Or will Shizu end up deciding to return to the Coliseum to reclaim his right to the throne and the responsibilities left by his father?

The title for the next episode, "Bothersome Country," does not reveal much information about what's going to happen next. Kino and Hermes could be arriving at a new country to face its challenging traditions and cultures. But could they also be joined by an unexpected companion or two?
