Nexus 10 Rumors: Tablet Appears in Google Play, Specs Revealed

Various Nexus 10 spec rumors were confirmed this week as the tablet made an appearance in the Google Play store that accidentally revealed important information on the device.

The listing was pulled down, but not before a leaked screenshot revealed many of the specs for the tablet.

According to the post, the Nexus 10 will come with a 10.05-inch display with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution with a 300ppi. It will also come with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, a 2.1-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The listing also revealed that the device will pack a 9000mAh battery and will weigh 584 grams with a thickness of 7.9mm.

An image of what could be a press render of the Nexus 10 2 tablet surfaced on the internet last week.

The picture was sent to tech blog Phone Arena and shows a re-designed 10-inch Google tablet with a more squared design and thinner bezels. Similar images were leaked prior to the Nexus 10 launch so this new render could be legitimate, according to IB Times. The original Nexus 10 featured a much more rounded design with thicker bezels.

The new image also reveals that the next-gen Nexus will closely resemble the iPad Air, which made its official debut earlier this week and features an extremely thin frame, making it easy to hold and carry.

The Nexus 10 rumors have been surfacing a lot less frequently than those for the Nexus 5, but the tablet is still expected to launch together with the updated smartphone and new Android 4.4 KitKat software.

There are a few rumored release dates floating around, with one being on the very last day of this month. Google was originally expected to announce news regarding the devices at its Oct. 24 media event, but disappointed fans when it opted instead to discuss music, movies and games within the company's ecosystem.
