Prince Harry, Cressida Bonas Engagement Reports 'Ludicrous,' Says Socialite's Brother

Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have been subject to engagement rumors in recent months however the British socialite's brother recently slammed wedding reports as "ludicrous."

Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, who is a 30-year-old DJ, recently expressed concern about the media scrutiny that Bonas, 24, has grown subject to due to her involvement with Harry, who is fourth in line to the British throne.

"Cressida is not a tough cookie at all. She's a very sensitive, sweet girl. It's challenging, you can't deny it. It's not something that is easy for anyone dating a royal or marrying into the Family," Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe told London's Evening Standard.

Bonas is the daughter of 1960s society beauty, Lady Mary Gaye Curzon and her third husband, Old Harrovian businessman Jeffrey Bonas. She began dating Harry, 29, in May 2012.

"On some level it is different to any other type of fame. It's an invasion of privacy, which is hard," he continued. "There are people who court that but when you spend your life hiding from it, I think that becomes very exhausting. I think it's a very difficult thing."

Harry began dating Bonas, who is a dance student, after being introduced by his cousin, Princess Eugenie. The pair has been inseparable ever since and Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe noted that watching the likes of Kate Middleton and her family thrust into the spotlight prior to the 2011 royal wedding makes him nervous for Bonas.

"It does worry me," he said of potentially becoming in-laws to the royals in the future. "But you've got to go with life and see how things progress."
