Mike said his family has seen tragedy before and he is always so blessed at the level of support they receive at times like these. He recalled some years ago when his family lost everything in a hurricane and their supporters came down to the Gulf Coast around Pensacola Florida and helped them just as they have been doing for Jason.

"If we walk like this all the time there would be zero trouble for anybody in the world to believe in Jesus, because they would see it beautifully through his body," he told CP. "They'd see Him in the Body of Christ. We're not fighting over some kind of dumb divisive thing."

"When we come together it's pretty amazing cause you really see the Lord. That's exactly what the Lord said, He said they'll know that we're His by the way that we love one another, and I've seen that poured out of my brother during this time," Mike said.

For others going through difficult trials, Mike's advice is to look to Jesus.

"You can trust God even in the middle of the craziest things," he said. "In fact, that's when you find out who He really is. All we have is the Lord Himself, but when you find out He's all that we have, you really find out that He's all that we need."

"We are growing forever. But I do know this: I've got Him and He doesn't let you down even on your darkest day. He's there in the middle of it and He loves us and I've experienced that love and that grace and that peace.

"In walking through this, there's a part when you're in the difficulty of it and you're like, 'Hey God, have you forgotten me?' And then you're quickly reminded no, no you're very present in this."

Jason is now home with his family and recovering, but the "Redeemed" singer said there are still medical concerns that need to be prayed for.

During the surgery to amputate Jason's feet, doctors were able to save the bass player's ankles, which once strong enough can aid in his recovery process. But doctors continue to be concerned about his right leg, which continues to show signs of a small infection. As part of his treatment, he spends time in a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber which applies pressure to the leg to aid in the healing process.

"We're believing that any trace of that infection, any trace of that will be gone and they just want to make sure of that before we move to the next phase of recovery," Mike explained.

"Just continue to pray for every aspect of it. We need to take some more [tour] dates and we're praying that he's going to be ready to come out on the road," he asked of fans.

In the meantime the band is looking to God for the grace and the peace to hear from Him on a daily basis and then do whatever He says to do.

"I'm sure God is using this in a powerful way and will use this in the future. Because really, it's a story of His faithfulness and it's a story of His love and the fact that He never leaves any of us high and dry."

Mike is optimistic that his brother and family will adapt to their new way of life and conquer all of the challenges that lay ahead. For more information on Jason and how you can help, visit youcaring.com.
