Samsung Galaxy Note 4 News: Unlocked Phablets Arrive Before Actual Release Date

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is going to be available next week from all four major carriers, but those who might want an unlocked version of the phablets may want to check Amazon right now to place an order for the much-anticipated gadget.

According to Tech Times, Amazon is selling the unlocked International Galaxy Note 4 SM-910 at different prices, depending on the color. The gold Galaxy Note 4 is reportedly sold out with a 6 to 10-day shipping estimate, and is priced at $904.48. The white Galaxy Note is in stock and is priced at $868.99, while the black Galaxy Note 4 has a few units in stock and carries a price of $854.88.

The website reports that there are drawbacks to purchasing an unlocked phablet. It will work on AT&T and T-Mobile's networks, but can't connect to either's high speed 4G LTE network. Moreover, the device will not work on CDMA carriers like Verizon and Sprint.

Those who are looking to get their hands on the Galaxy Note 4 without the sticker shock or inconvenience may want to wait for the device to be launched on Oct. 17. AT&T will reportedly sell it for $825, T-Mobile is pricing it at $750, Sprint is offering it at $750, while Verizon is pricing it at $699. Aside from the aforementioned colors, the phablet will also be available in pink.

The Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7 inch screen, textured back, and metal band around the edges. The screen is a Quad HD display, with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.

The gadget comes with an S-Pen, and has 2,048 levels of pressure sensing. It has a 3.7MP front facing camera, and a 16 MP rear camera. The Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android KitKat 4.4 has an internal memory of 32 GB and a micro SD card slot that can accommodate SD cards up to 64 GB.
