2. New York City – Nov. 14, 2022

Authorities in New York City arrested nine LGBT activists during a protest against another Let Women Speak event in November 2022. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department confirmed the arrests to Fox News at the time, disclosing that the parties would likely receive a summons and then be released.

Footage of the incident obtained by Fox News showed police warning demonstrators blocking traffic to disperse, according to the outlet. Some of the protesters ignored the order or clashed with the officers outside City Hall Park, with one ringing a bell in the ear of a police officer and in the face of other people present. In the video, demonstrators can be heard chanting, “TERFS go home!,” alluding to the acronym for the term trans-exclusionary radical feminist.
