The Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh revealed in a March 29 tweet that he had to postpone a planned speech at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, following threats of violence against himself and his family after the mass shooting in Nashville. Walsh is a prominent critic of LGBT activists’ push to castrate children through puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and body mutilating surgeries.
Sadly I have to postpone my speech at Washington and Lee University. Due to threats against my family and other serious security concerns in Nashville this week, I cannot leave my family and fly to another state. I hate to push the event off but my wife and kids come first.

“Sadly I have to postpone my speech at Washington and Lee University,” the conservative pundit wrote. “Due to threats against my family and other serious security concerns in Nashville this week, I cannot leave my family and fly to another state. I hate to push the event off but my wife and kids come first.”
The Daily Wire host promised to reschedule the event at Washington and Lee University and said his spring college tour would continue as planned. Walsh linked the threats that he and his family had received to LGBT activists who oppose his defense of children.
“The threats to my family only make me more determined to fight this evil,” he tweeted. “I will not let any harm come to my children or my wife. And I will not let these psychopaths scare me into silence. Neither of those things will ever happen, I promise you.”
